We are a critique group of about 20 local poets who meet on the 4th Tuesday of every month at 6:30 p.m.
Our current meeting location is at Trinity Episcopal Church (3401 Bellaire Drive South) in Fort Worth, TX.
Purpose Statement:
The purpose of the Fort Worth Society (FWPS) shall be for the members to study and produce poetry and encourage similar activities by others.
We, the FWPS, welcome poets and poetry lovers of all backgrounds and experience levels regardless of their ethnic, cultural, religious, or gender identities.
Did you know:
The Fort Worth Poetry Society (FWPS) is the oldest literary society southwest of the Mississippi. Originally established in 1910 and meeting continuously ever since, the FWPS is also the longest active poetry society in the state of Texas.
